I have a special interest in women’s health issues especially PMS, Menopause, PCOS, fibroids and fertility issues and run the Napiers Well Woman and Menopause Clinic at Napiers Hamilton Place clinic in Edinburgh. I am also part of the Napiers Detox Clinic and the Edinburgh Natural Fertility Clinic. However, I also see a wide range of people of all ages and can provide help, advice and support for most ailments.
Philosophy :: I work with clients to help them find ways to improve their physical, mental, and emotional health through a nutritionally balanced diet, herbal medicines and food supplements. I believe in using simple plant medicines with a strong traditional usage, and use native plants where possible. In Nutritional Therapy, I try to do as much as possible through dietary changes, supporting this with food supplements, herbs and further investigations where necessary. I encourage my clients to find a balance in all aspects of their lives that is enjoyable, healthy and sustainable.
Qualifications :: I studied Herbal Medicine at the College of Phytotherapy and have completed an 4 year honours degree course including 500 hours of supervised clinical training. I have a diploma in Nutritional Therapy from the College of Naturopathic Medicine and am a full member of the College of Practitioners of Phytotherapy (CPP) and the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT). My background is in biological sciences and, as well as my degree in Herbal Medicine, I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh.
Profile :: I am originally from the East of England, and have been living, studying and working in Edinburgh for over 18 years.
I am passionate about good health and enjoy cooking, eating and growing my own food at my allotment, as well as running, yoga, hillwalking and cycling to keep me fit and well.
