Why Choose Nutritional Therapy? :: While healthy eating is essential for health, Nutritional Therapy goes beyond this. By identifying and treating nutrient deficiencies and imbalances, health and vitality are restored, symptoms are reduced and the progression of disease and poor health can be slowed down or even stopped.
Many people try diets and supplements recommended in books, magazines and on TV and feel no better. This is often because each person’s nutritional needs are different and ‘one size’ does not fit all!
Approach to Treatment :: The initial stage of treatment involves moving towards a more nutritious, balanced diet. Nutritional supplements or herbal remedies may be recommended to support the dietary changes.
After the first month, a more tailored nutritional program is implemented. Your progress will be reviewed every month initially, then every 2-3 months so that you get the most from your nutritional program. This approach ensures that your treatment is safe, effective and provides you with ongoing help and support.

Nutrition or Herbs? :: You may feel drawn more to one therapy than the other. Treatment using herbal medicine will mainly focus on the use of the herbal remedies plus some basic dietary advice. In nutritional therapy consultations, there is more focus on diet and I give detailed recommendations on beneficial foods and a personalised eating plan to help get you started together with recipe ideas if you need them. If appropriate, I will also offer nutritional therapy clients the choice of using some herbal medicine, as the two therapies complement each other very well, and I find that the use of herbs speeds up progress and can cut down on the number of food supplements required.
If you are unsure which therapy is most suitable for you, please do not hestiate to contact me to discuss your requirements.
